how topromote an event

This post takes a look a both the strategy and the tactics for promoting local events: First I discuss some general conventions regarding promoting events, then I elaborate on specific tactics and tools. The goal of this post is to serve as a checklist for anyone that needs to promote a local event.

Strategy

Who, What, When, Why?

Visualize what the final result of the event should look like, clarify the purpose of the event, then determine the actual tasks need to realize that vision. Remember that the actual tasks are secondary to the desired result. With that frame of mind you can maintain flexibility while keeping focused.

Research

Use Google and the “websites where you can post your event” (listed below) to investigate events similar to yours. Google the titles of those events to determine what online marketing channels they used. Search through old emails to examine marketing copy used for other similar successful events.

Timing

Be careful of scheduling your event during the same time as an event that will potentially rob your market share. Understand what times are best for your target market. You may want to call a few of the potential attendees and ask their opinion.

Lead Time

In general you want to have four to eight weeks of lead time. To get a more accurate measure, using your research, find out when similar events that were successful started announcing their event.

Partnerships

Team up with organizations that cater to your market. Determine whose mailing lists your target market appears on. Look for partners that would also find value in your target market. Utilize your partners mailing lists, social media profiles and websites.

puas rasanya klo kerjaan desain jadinya bagus plus dapat pujian dari teman2 kerja dan juga client..memng aga sulit awalnya, namanya konsumen pasti hal yang g mungkin jad mungkin.berawal dr file pdf yang minta diprint layaknya hasil dari editan photosop..gila ngga! knapa g didesain lewat mic.word aj sekalian?untung kita2 g ilang akal...dari pdf langsung kita print screen aj..kita tarik ke Ps gedein dikit resolusinya...eng ing eng jadi deh....thanks god....yah paling ngga pulang kerja jadi g capeee...

TERNYATA...

setelah berbulan2 banting tulang, hasilnya keliatan juga....yah bisa beliin keinginan si jo(bojo) liat ekspresinya bikin hati ini ademmm bener....coba klo gni terus,bakalan semangat kerja pastinya...tp tanpa hrs beliin itu, si jo bakalan tetep support aku apapun keadaannya....well done.....oya hr ini bakaln ketemuan ma tmn2 gereja setelah hampir 2 minggu g nongkrong bareng....bakalan seru neh...coba klo semua bisa kumpul...bakalan hueboh!!!

its time 2 rain

hampir setengah taon g ujan!!!!akhirnya ujan jga....walau hanya gerimis bung!tp lumayan bikin badan adem nyess....klo cuaca udahasik gni,smua kerjaan bakalan berezzz res res..ada kjadian lucu hari ni...ak nuabrak becak!!!si abang bukannya panik malah ketawa..ngguyu!! rdo ra waras wong iki....sialan kupret brompitku lecet2 untung bekas pembalap pengganti casey stoner jadi langsung tanggap mlompat dr motor wuizzz......sampe kantor takut telat eh trnyata mesiin absen jamnya error!!!!tp justru bkin telatnya ga diitung bro....order hari ini sangat lancar sekaleee...dari bikin kalender,grafizz,sampe banner ada smua...thanks God

sibuk2 neh...........

waktunya kalender bikin pusing!@#$ tp gpo2 hasilny juga lumayan....hari ini bkin badan cape plus item tambah item de....solo puanas banget!!!!minum segelas es teh g cukup ngobatin ne dahaga...ketemu bebrapa konsumen cuman 2 aj yang order...tp tetep yakin ko sebab TUHAN BAIK....besok2 pasti oerder banyak....

time to gajian

setelah 1 bulan menunggu....finally hari yang ditunggu datang!!!
detik2 menegangkan di kantor menunggu slip gaji apakah ada potongan........puji Tuhan ngga ado brother.....tp ketegangan tetep berlanjut tak kala di atm uang lom masuk......mati aku....ternyata ak masuk ke atm yg salah he6x......lanjut menjemput calon istri yg bru masok angin mampir apotek beli vitc untuk doping dia..............

start 2 work,,,,again

hari pertama masuk? males de...tp ap daya mencari uang tuk masa depan anak istri....harus dilaksanakan....bangun pagi penuh semangat juang 45 dan ternyata setelah sampai kantor...eng ing eng!!!! divisi digiprint hanya ada 2 orang yg nyadar kalo hari itu udah masuk kerjo......dan turun lagilah semangat juangnya...belanda bakalan nyerang he6x....dugaan benar...banyak kerjaan menunggu dan deadline besok....bisa pecah ne kepala....untung ada paacar yang tiba2 telpon menyemangati...so sweet...mungkin dah jade soulmete kale yee...boso jowone"kroso susahe bojo" he6x....semangat juangnnya lebih gila lge......
